Project overview
The client’s existing deck had seen better days and was in need of a complete overhaul. They wanted a new deck that not only looked great but also included integrated lighting and special features to protect the natural elements (i.e. the awesome tree in front of the house).
Our process
1. Removing the old deck. The first step in the project was to carefully dismantle and remove the old deck. Our team ensured this was done efficiently, with minimal disruption to the surrounding area, including the grandiose tree that was encapsulated in the old deck.

2. Installing underground electrical cables. After cleaning up everything left from the old deck, we’ve started to plan and install the electrical system for the new deck lights. To enhance the new deck with integrated lighting, we laid electrical cables underground. This involved precise planning to ensure the cables were securely buried and protected, ready to power the deck lights without any visible wires disrupting the aesthetics.

3. Creating an edging for the tree protection. One unique aspect of this project was the client’s desire to preserve a tree that was growing in the middle of the deck. To protect the tree and create a visually appealing feature, we installed a custom edging around the base of the tree. This edging not only safeguards the tree but also adds a modern, stylish element to the deck design.

4. Constructing the new deck. With the groundwork laid and special features installed, we proceeded to construct the new deck. Using high-quality materials, we built a sturdy, beautiful deck that meets the client’s needs and complements their outdoor space. The integrated lights were installed seamlessly, providing both functionality and ambiance.
