Direct burial and pave-over loop installation

Our expert team at 78 Fence installs both direct burial driveway loops – ideal for gravel driveways, dirt roads, and new concrete pours – and pave-over loops, suited for placement on existing asphalt or road base with fresh asphalt applied directly over them. For concrete installations, we ensure the loop is positioned above the rebar to prevent interference and enhance durability. This approach provides a seamless, rugged solution that withstands heavy traffic and high temperatures.

Types of loops we offer

• Direct burial loops. Ideal for installation under fresh concrete, gravel, dirt, or asphalt. These loops are easy to form and built to be durable, making them a perfect choice for roads under pavers or areas with substantial wear.
• Saw-cut loops. Designed for existing concrete or asphalt surfaces, saw-cut loops fit precisely into a 3/16″ saw-cut slot and are sealed with loop sealant to ensure durability and secure functionality.

Customized loop sizing and placement

We customize each induction loop based on the width of your driveway or roadway, typically designing the loop to be 4-6 feet narrower than the roadway. This ensures effective vehicle detection while maximizing stability. For example, a 12-foot-wide roadway would typically use an 8-foot-wide loop, with shorter legs to enhance detection height and stability. We can also do installations under freezing temperatures, as we can use quick cure / winter blend loop sealant.
